The 5,000 ton ms Estonia (Estonija) was built in East Germany in 1960, and was the 7th of 19 sister ships in the Soviet "Mikhail Kalinin" class. The ship was renamed the Ekaterina II in 1993 and sailed until 1997 when it was laid up (the ship was scrapped sometime around 2003).
