The ship was one of 5 Belorussiya\/Gruziya class ships built in 1975-76 (its sister ships were the Azerbaijan, Belorussiya, Gruziya, and Kareliya).  The ship sailed with Royal Seas Cruise as the 'Royal Seas' in '95-96' and then was chartered by Sea Escape and sailed as the party ship 'Island Adventure'. until 2008.
