The brochure was printed in the U.S.A. in April 1960\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe brochure has description and artist renditions of the ships' interiors and exteriors and public rooms and cabins (including the Caribbean Lounge, Club Tropicana, Children's Playroom, Dining Room, La Playa deck, Techo Bar, Games Area, Buffet, and Balcon Suite).  It also has descritions and photos of ports of call and the cruise.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe brochure has large detailed deck plans (La Playa Deck, Sun Deck, Promenade Deck, A Deck, B Deck) and detailed cabin plans for the 8 different stateroom and suite types. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition:\u003c\/strong\u003e the brochure is in excellent condition (see photos).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eShip History:\u003c\/strong\u003e The U.S. registered 584 foot 15,371 ton sister ships ss Santa Rosa and ss Santa Paula were built in the USA in 1958 and carried 300 passengers. Grace Lines merged with Prudential in 1969 forming Prudential-Grace Lines, and then both ships were laid up in 1971.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Santa Paula was sold in 1972 to Ocean Sun Line and remained laid up until 1976 when it was sold to Marriott and a consortium of Kuwaiti companies to be converted into a hotel ship and it was renamed \"Kuwait Marriott Hotel\". The ship opened as a hotel in 1980. In 1989 it was renamed the \"Ramada Al Salam Hotel\". The ship was bombed and caught fire resulting in a total loss during the 1991 Iraq-Kuwait war.  It was scrapped in 2002.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Santa Rosa remained laid up until 1989 when it was sold to Coral Cruise Lines and renamed the Pacific Sun and then Diamond Island. It was sold again the same year to Lelakis Group (owner of Regency Cruises) and extensively rebuilt (with gross tonnage increasing from 15,371 to 26,431 and a capacity of 1100 passengers).  It entered service again for the first time in 20 years in 1991 as the Regent Rainbow.
