Safmarine sold it to the East German state government shipping company DSR in late 1985 and it was renamed Arkona. It sailed with DSR until 2001 when it was sold to Transocean Tours and renamed Astoria. Saga Cruises bought the ship in 2009 and it sailed with them as the Saga Pearl II until 2019. It was scrapped in 2022.
