20 page full color cruise brochure from tour operator Ipanema Tours for its 1983 Caribbean and South America cruises aboard the Astor United Cruises (Hadag) West German registered ship MS Astor (January 16, February 1, February 19).  The brochure also has info on Ipanema's South America tour packages.

The brochure includes photos and description of the ship and life aboard the ship, photos and descriptions of ports of call, sailing schedules and itineraries (cruise #'s35, 36, 37), room rates, deck plans for 6 decks, a cutaway view showing the location of decks and public rooms, technical data about the ship, and general information. 

The brochure also has day by day itineraries and descriptions of Ipanema's South America tour packages.

The brochure is in excellent condition.  It was printed in the USA.

The ms Astor was built in 1981 and was a financial flop for Hadag. The ship was sold to South Africa's Safmarine in early 1984. Safmarine sold it to the East German state government shipping company DSR in late 1985 and it was renamed Arkona. It sailed with DSR until 2001 when it was sold to Transocean Tours and renamed Astoria.  Saga Cruises bought the ship in 2009 and it sailed with them as the Saga Pearl II until 2019.  It was scrapped in 2022.
