Large sized 7.5" x 5.25" (191mm x 133m) chrome postcard showing the Commodore Cruise Line ship Enchanted Isle (ex Argentina ex Veendam) sailing in the 1990's.
The Enchanted Isle was originally built as the Argentina in 1958 for the US flag Moore-McCormack Lines. Holland America bought the ship in 1973 and renamed it the Veendam. From 1976-78 it sailed for Monarch Cruise Lines as the Monarch Star and was returned to Holland America in 1978 and renamed Veendam again. In 1984 the ship was sold to Bahama Cruise Line and renamed Bermuda Star. In 1990 it was sold to Commodore Cruise Lines and sailed as the Enchanted Isle until 2000. The ship was scrapped in 2003.
The card is used and stamped, postmarked 2002. It is in very good condition.
