Large 26-page brochure for the 1975 10 and 11 day Caribbean Cruises from New York aboard the Holland America Cruises ship ss Veendam.
The brochure includes many photos and descriptions of the ships interior and exterior and ports of call, itineraries and sailing schedules, room rates, general info, large detailed deck plans, photos of stateroom types and detailed cabin plans, and a two-sided fly/cruise rates insert.
The brochure is in very good condition with a slight wrinkle/crease at the top of the front cover (see photos).
The Veendam was originally built as the Argentina in 1958 for the US flag Moore-McCormack Lines. Holland America bought the ship in 1973 and renamed it the Veendam. From 1976-78 it sailed for Monarch Cruise Lines as the Monarch Star and was returned to Holland America in 1978 and renamed Veendam again. In 1984 the ship was sold to Bahama Cruise Line and renamed Bermuda Star. In 1990 it was sold to Commodore Cruise Lines and sailed as the Enchanted Isle until 2000.
