Lesney Matchbox no. 50 diecast metal Commer Pick-up Mk VIII truck with light body, unpainted metal base, rear window, silver painted grille and headlights, and gray plastic wheels with rounded end axles.

The truck has a custom "David Ford, Builders Merchants, Station Road" decal. Editor's note: I've seen this same decal on two other customized late 50's/early 60's models (a Dinky Supertoys #972 20-ton Lorry Mounted Crane, and an Olaf Olsen Custom Model Foden Truck) a so I'm assuming this decal was a customization done/ordered by the David Ford company as part of a promotion.

The truck is 57mm / 2 1/4 inches long. Made in England by Lesney in 1958.

The truck is in excellent condition with a few tiny pinpoint paint chips around the windows and the truck bed rear corners. The decal is yellowed from age but is intact and undamaged. See photos.
