1970's chrome postcard showing the (then newly built) 200 foot tall Sombrero Observation Tower with its sombrero shaped observation deck located in the El Toro Arcade section of the South Of The Border complex. The Mexico Shop West and Coffee Casa attractions are in the foreground.
The South Of The Border tourist attraction is located near the intersection of I-95 and US 301 and US501 in Dillon County South Carolina just south of the (South Carolina/North Carolina) border. The complex includes restaurants, the Sombrero elevator tower and arcade, a 300 room motel, shopping and souvenir stores, a truck stop, mini golf course, "Reptile Lagoon", and amusement rides.
