Vintage promotional matchbox from the 1990's advertising the now defunct Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort hotel on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
The hotel casino opened in 1990 at a cost of nearly $1 billion and was the largest in Atlantic City at the time with 2,000 hotel rooms and 167,000 sq ft of gaming space. It operated until 2016 when it closed. It was sold in 2017 and reopened as a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in 2018.
The matchbook has the Trump Taj Mahal logo on the front cover, and the address on the back "1000 Boardwalk At Virginia Avenue Atlantic City NJ".
The matchbook is in very good condition. All matches are intact and the "strike pad" is unstruck (see photos).
