1971 brochure for the cross Lake Michigan autoferry service serving Milwaukee, Manitowoc, and Ludington on the C&O ferries ss Spartan, ss Badger, and ss City of Midland 41. Brochure has schedules, fares, a description of the ships and service, and a photo of the ss Spartan. Published by the C&O / B&O Railroads.

Brochure is in very good condition but back page has a dog ear crease at the top corner and two small spots (see photo 3).

The ss Badger is still in operation as of 2024 and is the last remaining Lake Michigan classic railroad car ferry.  Its sister ship the ss Spartan has been laid up in Ludington since 1979.  The 410 foot 4,244 ton ships were built in 1952.

The 406 ft. 3,968 ton ss City of Midland 41 sailed as a ferry from 1941-1988 when it was laid up.   In 1997 the ship was converted into a barge and renamed Pere Marquette 41.
