Vintage press pass for the 1980 Democratic National Convention which was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City from August 11-14 1980.
The front of the pass says "News - Perimeter" and it is stamped #006581. "No Floor Pass" is stamped on the back, and the reporter wrote their TV station call letters "WGGB-TV" (an ABC affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts).
The 1980 DNC nominated incumbent President Jimmy Carter and Vice President Walter Mondale. Carter received 64% of the ballots, and Ted Kennedy received nearly 35%.
Condition: The press pass is in excellent condition. It measures 6 1/4" x 3 1/2" (159mm x 89mm).
