Vintage restaurant promotional comic book: Adventures of the Big Boy, issue #316, August 1983, printed in 1983. 16 printed pages. 

This comic series was given away free to children at Big Boy Restaurants/ Abdow's Family Restaurants.  The star of the comic strip series was the Big Boy Restaurant mascot "Big Boy", and "Big Boy Takes on Home Run Harry".

Synopsis: Comic strip stories in this issue are "Adventure at the Wishing Well", "A Lesson In Patience", and "Big Boy Takes on Home Run Harry".  The issue also includes the series regular features: "Dear Big Boy" column, Big Boy Club Fun Pages, a form to join the Big Boy Club, "State of the Union": Florida (monthly feature with info about different states), and "Let's Build Our Own Zoo."

The back page also has a listing of Abdow's Big Boy restaurants in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and page 9 has an ad showing an illustration of a Big Boy hamburger/Coca Cola combo.

Condition: The comic is in very good plus condition (see photos). The covers and inner pages of this comic series were printed on newsprint type paper (not glossy).
