Vintage 1970's 30-strike matchbook cover (no matches) advertising Allgauer's Fireside Restaurant at 2855 Milwaukee Avenue in Northbrook, Illinois.. 

The restaurant opened in its current location in 1973.  In 1992 the restaurant became part of the Hilton Hotel Northbrook.

The matchbook's cover graphics on both sides are raised, textured, and embossed.  The front cover has the restaurant's name and phone number. The strike side has a raised embossed illustration of the restaurant and its address.  The inside of the matchbook has the restaurant name, a mini map showing the location, and says "Banquet and meeting facilities accommodating groups from 15 to 1000"

The matchbook cover is in very good condition. It is empty and there are no matches. The the strike pad appears to be lightly used. (see photos).
