Synopsis: The late 1960's book is a collection of short, illustrated stories centered on animals and written for early elementary-age readers. The stories were designed to entertain while also teaching gentle lessons about behavior, friendship, kindness, curiosity, and life in the natural world.

The stories in the book are:

• The Lion and the Mouse
• The End of a Friendship (elephant and tiger)
• The Miller the Son the Donkey
• The Tortoise and his friends

Condition: The book has some damage to the spine cover at the top and bottom of the spine (see photos below), and there are some smudges on the back cover. The inside pages are in excellent condition with no marks, writing, or creases.  The binding is still intact and there are no lose pages.
