Synopsis: The Baghdad Boyz: Adventures in Time – Book One is a science-fiction/adventure comic from Raging Rhino Productions that follows a group of young protagonists caught up in a dangerous journey through time. The story combines military-style action with science-fiction elements as the “Baghdad Boyz” confront threats and attempt to navigate an unfamiliar historical setting, setting up a larger time-travel adventure that continues in subsequent books. The issue was conceived as an experimental anthology-style production, with the same story illustrated by four different artists—Rob Holcomb, Georges Jeanty, Matt Robertson, and Kevin Kennedy—with readers invited to vote on which artist should continue the series.

The first Baghdad Boyz is particularly unusual as a small-press early-1990s comic: it is a 32-page, black-and-white book printed on white paper with a cardstock cover and a $2.95 cover price. Although commonly cataloged as a 1991 publication, the later Adventures in Time series is cataloged by the Grand Comics Database as beginning in February 1993; Book Two was scripted by Lance Jacobs and continued the military/adventure storyline.
