Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the early 1960's for the Polynesian themed Bali-Hi Motor Hotel which was located at 1515 Grand Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.

The 170 room motel opened in 1955 and featured two lively swimming pools and a Tiki themed cocktail lounge called the "Tabu Room".  It expanded in the early 1960's with the acquisition of the next door Caravan Inn.  The Caravan Inn property was sold in the late 1960's (and operated as the Oasis Hotel from 1971-1995).  The original Bali-Hi motel section closed in the 1970's.

The front cover has the hotel logo and name, and the strike side cover has the address and an illustration of a smiling sun.  The inside of the cover lists the features of the hotel (cocktail lounge, restaurant, heated swimming pool, TV and phones in rooms).

The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook is in excellent condition (see photos).
