Synopsis: Battle Pope: Wrath of God #3 (October 2002) is the last issue of a three-part Funk-O-Tron "Wrath of God" miniseries. It was written by Robert Kirkman , and drawn by Tony Moore.
In this finale, Battle Pope’s increasingly antagonistic relationship with God reaches its explosive climax. The Pope is forced into a full-blown confrontation with the Almighty, while the story continues to play the conflict for deliberately outrageous, irreverent comedy. Meanwhile, Jesus and Santa Claus continue their bizarre partnership in a separate subplot, and the third chapter of Joe Casey and Jason Latour’s backup story, “Immigrant Song,” brings that storyline to a close. The issue is notable for producing a major, status-quo-changing development for the series, setting up the direction of the Battle Pope stories that followed.
Condition: The comic is in VF/NM-NM condition (Very Fine/Near Mint to Near Mint) with no noticeable problems (see photos).
