1970's molded hard plastic coin bank featuring the animated TV characters Benji and Waldo. Made by C.P.H. in 1973. The bank measures 5" x 3 3/4" x 3" (127mm x 95mm x 76mm)
The bank has a slot on Waldo's head to insert coins, and coins can be removed from the bottom by pulling on the removable plastic stopper.
Benji (the boy) and Waldo (his Old English Sheepdog) were the stars of four long since forgotten made for TV animated holiday movies that were produced by the Lutheran Church and E.M.C. Corp: "Christmas Is" (1970), "Easter Is" (1974), "The City That Forgot About Christmas" (1974), and the Bicentennial special "Freedom Is" (1976).
The piggy bank is in overall very good condition with a few small marks or discolorations (see photos)
