Antique black and white postcard from around 1910 showing the High Altar in the Coptic Church Abu Serga (also known as the Cavern Church and the Church of the Martyr Sergius and Bacchus) in Cairo Egypt.
The church was built in the 4th-5th centuries AD. Underneath the church is the crypt which is in the cavern where the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, Joseph) is thought to have stayed when they entered Egypt.
Printed in Egypt, editors Lehnert and Landrock, Cairo.
The postcard is unused and in very good condition with some yellowing from age (see photos).
