Vintage promotional matchbox from the 1970's advertising the now defunct discount department store chain Caldor. The matchbook was printed in the USA by D.D. Bean & Sons Co., Jaffrey NH.
The matchbook is unused and unstruck. It has slight fading on the dark brown color, and a slight dent on the right edge of the "hinge".
Caldor was a regional discount department store in the Northeastern US that was founded in 1951. It closed its remaining 145 store locations in 1999.
