Antique rare hand colored postcard from the 1920's showing "Camp Rustle - The Summer Home Of The Magna's". The Massachusetts house was the summer home of Russell William Magna and his wife Edith Scott Magna who were well known in the Pioneer Valley and Springfield MA areas.
Edith Scott Magna (1885-1960) was a civic leader who was President General of the Daughters of the American Revolution during the 1930's. She was also a soprano singer and wrote poetry. She published a volume of poetry called "Camp Rustle" in 1928 that was inspired by her summers spent at the house.
The card was published by The Albertype Company of Brooklyn who specialized in using a collotype printing process and hand-tinted postcards.
Condition: the postcard is unused and in very good condition with a very slight warp (see photos).
