28 page brochure from 1959 for the French Canada cruises from Montreal on the St. Lawrence and Saguenay Rivers aboard the Canada Steamship Lines ships ss Tadoussac, ss St Lawrence, and ss Richelieu.

The ports of call for the 4-day roundtrip cruises on the ss Tadoussac and ss St Lawrence were Montreal, Sorel, Quebec City, Murray Bay, St. Simeon, Tadoussac, and Bagotville.

The ports of call for the 6-day cruises from Montreal aboard the ss Richelieu included Quebec City, Tadoussac, Chicoutimi, Murray Bay, and more.

The brochure has photos and descriptions of the ships and ports of call, descriptions and itineraries for available tours, steamer sailing schedules for 1959, passage fares and room rates, general passenger information, and a list of Canada Steamship officers and offices.

Condition: the brochure has some light wear along the lower half of the seam on the front cover/page 1 but is otherwise in very good condition (see photos).

Ship History: The identical sister ships ss St Lawrence and ss Tadoussac were built in 1928 and were 350 ft. long and 7,013 tons.  The Tadoussac sailed until 1965 when it was sold and used as a hotel and restaurant in UAE until 1980 when it was scrapped.  The St Lawrence sailed until 1965 when it was sold and used as an accommodation ship until the early 1970's when it was scrapped.

The 323 ft long 5,600 ton ss Richelieu was built in 1913 as the Narraganset for Central Vermont Transportation Co. Canada Steamship purchased the ship in 1923 and it sailed with them until 1965. It was scrapped in 1966.
