Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1950's advertising The Candleight Inns motel chain which operated upscale motels on the Gulf Coast in Louisiana (New Orleans, Lake Charles) and Florida (Clearwater Beach, Fort Walton Beach).
The New Orleans locations at 4849 Airline Highway, featured a Sweish Smorgasbord.
The front cover has the hotel name and logo, and the strike side cover says "The Gulf Coast's Most Luxurious Motels : Gift Shops, Cocktail Lounges, Restaurants, Pool, Patio". The inside of the cover has a burning candlestick graphic and lists the locations of the 4 motels.
The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook is in overall very good condition (see photos).
