Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1950's advertising the now discontinued Carnation Ice Cream brand which was made by the Carnation Co.
In addition to Carnation Ice Cream which was sold in stores, the company also operated the Carnation Ice Cream Restaurant chain which had restaurants in California, Texas, and Oklahoma, and the Carnation Cafe at Disneyland. The ice cream business and restaurants were phased out after Nestle acquired Carnation in 1985.
The matchbook has the Carnation ice cream name and logo, and a large carnation on the outer side. The inside of the matchbook is blank.
The matchbook cover is in very good condition. (see photos). The matchbook is empty and there are no matches, and the strike pad appears to be unused.
