Full color fold out brochure for the 1975 Caribbean cruises from Miami to Nassau, San Juan, and St. Thomas aboard the Carnival Cruise Lines ship TSS Mardi Gras.
The brochure includes photos and descriptions of the ship and ports of call, itinerary, room rates, deck plans, photos of the different stateroom types, and general information.
Condition: The brochure has writing on the front cover but is otherwise in very good condition (see photos).
Ship History: The Mardi Gras was originally built for Canadian Pacific Steamships who operated it as the Empress of Canada (1961-1972). Carnival purchased the Empress of Canada/Mardi Gras in 1972 and operated it until 1993 when it was sold to Epirotiki who chartered it to Gold Star Cruises and it was renamed the Star of Texas (and later Lucky Star). Epirotiki merged with Sun Lines in 1995 and the company was renamed Royal Olympic. The ship was renamed the Apollon in 1995 and sailed with Royal Olympic until 2003 when it was sold for scrap.
