Small foldout brochure for the 1976 "Fly Aweigh" 7-day fly/cruises from Miami to the Caribbean aboard Carnival Cruise Lines "Fun Ships" tss Carnivale, and tss Mardi Gras. Air transportation was provided by National Airlines.The brochure includes a few photos of the ships and shipboard activities, a description of the cruises, descriptions of ports of call, sailing schedules, room rates and fly cruise packages.
The sister ships Mardi Gras and Carnivale were originally built for Canadian Pacific Steamships who operated them as the Empress of Canada (1961-1972) and Empress of Britain (1955-1964). Carnival purchased the Empress of Canada/Mardi Gras in 1972 and operated it until 1993. Canadian Pacific sold the Empress of Britain to Greek Line in 1964 who operated it as the Queen Anna Maria until 1975 when it was sold to Carnival and renamed the Carnivale and operated by Carnival until 1993.
