Large 91 page full color brochure for the 1995 Caribbean cruises aboard the Celebrity Cruises ships M/V Horizon (46,811 tons) , ss Meridian (30,440 tons), M/V Century (71,545 tons), and M/V Zenith (47,413).
The brochure includes photos and descriptions of life aboard the ships and the various ports of call, itineraries and sailing schedules, room rates, deck plans, cutaway views of the ships, photos of staterooms public rooms and the ships, general information and terms and conditions, and info on air/sea add-ons.
Pages 60-68 are an introduction to the (then) new M/V Century with artist renditions of the ship and its public rooms, and descriptions of the ship.
The brochure is in very good condition but it has a vertical crease running down the center (see photos).
Celebrity Cruises was founded in 1988 as an upscale subsidiary of its parent company Chandris Cruises. The company merged with Royal Caribbean Cruises in 1997.
The lines' first ship, the Meridian was built in 1963 for Lloyd Triestino as the Galileo Galilei and sailed with them until 1979 when it was sold to Italian Lines and renamed the Galileo. Chandris purchased the ship in 1983 and transferred it to Celebrity Cruises in 1990 and it was renamed Meridian. The ship was sold to Sun Cruises in 1997 and renamed the Sun Vista. It sank in 1999.
The Horizon was the first ship built for Celebrity and entered service in 1990. It was sold to Island Cruises in 2005 and renamed Island Star. The ship was sold to Pullmantur Cruises in 2009 and renamed Pacific Dream. Its name was changed back to Horizon in 2010. The ship was sold for scrap in 2022.
The Zenith, sister ship of the Horizon, entered to service in 1992. It was sold to Pullmantur Cruises in 2009. In 2020 it was sold to Peace Boat but never sailed for them. It was sold for scrap in 2022.
The Century was built in 1995, and was the first of three "Century class" ships built for Celebrity. The ship was acquired by SkySea Cruises in 2015 and renamed the SkySea Golden Era. In 2019 it was sold to Marella Cruises and currently sails at the Marella Explorer 2.
