The brochure includes photos and descriptions of the ship and cruise destinations, basic deck plans, itinerary and departure dates, room and tour rates, and general information.

The 7500 ton 418 foot Bon Vivant was originally built in 1951 as a passenger car ferry for Svenska LLoyd. It was sold to Hapag in 1957 and renamed ss Ariadne. In 1960 it was sold to Eastern Shipping (later Eastern Steamship). In 1972 Chandris bought the ship and chartered it to Bahama Cruise Lines who sailed it as the Freeport II until 1973. Chandris refit the ship and renamed it the ss Bon Vivant in 1974 and it sailed in the Mediterranean for Chandris and Flagship Cruises. In 1978 it was renamed ss Ariane. It was laid up from 1979-1981 and then sold to Nios March and renamed ss Empress Katerina. The ship was sold for scrap in 1997.
