4 page brochure for the June 3 -October 8 1977 15 day air/sea/hotel "Mediterranean Cruise Plus Italian Holiday" tour packages aboard the Chandris cruise ship ss Amerikanis.
The tour package included 8 days in Italy, with air travel to Milan provided via a TIA chartered DC8 jet, and a 7 day cruise on the Amerikanis departing from Genoa. Ports of call on the cruise included Genoa, Cannes, Palma De Mallorca, Tunis, Malta, Messina, and Naples.
The brochure includes photos of the ship's exterior and interior on the covers, tour itineraries, room rates, descriptions of ports of call, basic deck plans showing location of cabins only, and general information.
The brochure is in very good condition (see photos).
The 19,904 ton Amerikanis sailed as the Kenya Castle for Union Castle Line from 1952-67 when it was purchased by Chandris and renamed Amerikanis. It sailed with Chandris until 1996 when it was laid up (including a 4-year stint from 1980-84 when it was chartered to Costa). The ship was sold for scrap in 2001.
