Antique postcard from circa 1907-1912 showing the home of Charles Dickens, Gad's Hill Place, in Higham, Kent, England.
Dickens lived in this hole the last 14 years of his life and died in it in 1870. His novels "A Tale of Two Cities", "Great Expectations", "Out Mutual Friend", and "The Mystery of Edwin Dwood" were all written in whole, or in part, in this house.
The postcard was published by Thornton Brothers, Brompton, Kent and printed in Great Britain. It is numbered 1070.
The card is unposted and in very good condition. (see photos).
