The brochure has schedules for the suburban commuter rail branch from Chicago and Kensington to Hegewisch, Hammond, East Chicago, Gary, Tremont (Indiana Dunes), Michigan City, Hudson Lake, New Carlisle, South Bend, and intermediate points.
The brochure also has a table and diagram showing Chicago passenger stations, info on connecting rail motor coach service, and info on Emergency Package Service deliveries.
The brochure is in excellent condition (see photos).
Chicago South Shore transferred its passenger operations in 1990, including the South Shore Line, to the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District. The 182 mile long CSS still operates as a freight railroad, and is currently owned by Anacostia Rail Holdings.
