The listing and directory information in the book includes information up-to-date as of 1952.

Synopsis: The directory booklet is divided into three sections: 

• Lynn Fire Alarm Location of Boxes: (pages 3-11), location of boxes organized by ward and intersection with the numerical telegraph alarm codes for each box, as well as a guide to special fire signals. The guide helped residents look up the nearest street corner code to know what to report and helped them understand the alarm bells they heard.
• Lynn Street Directory: (pages 13-57) a complete listing of local street layouts
• List of Lynn Mayors: includes years served by all mayors, from the first mayor George Hood (1850-51) to the Arthr J. Frawley whose term began in 1952

The booklet also has several blank "notes" pages to write notes on, and the front and back covers have ads for the sponsor, Allen Stationery Co. which was a mid 20th century distributor of office furniture, office supplies, typewriters, adding machines, stationery, school supplies, and local postcards located at 110 Munroe St.

Condition: The booklet is in overall very good condition. It has a few tiny spots on the covers.  The front cover and the title page have small dog-ear creases on the right corners.  The inside pages are in very good condition and still retain there white color  (see photos).
