Product Description
17 page full color brochure for the inaugural 1983-84 "Cruise America" 7, 10, and 14 day cruises to the Colonial South, the Virgin Islands, Chesapeake Bay, New England, the Inland Waterways, Florida, and the Carolinas aboard the Clipper Cruise Line yacht-like U.S. registered ship MV Newport which made its maiden voyage on October 1, 1983.
This is the first MV Newport brochure and the brochure has artist's renditions of the ship's exterior and interior but no photos of the ship because the brochure was printed before the ship launched.
The brochure includes descriptions of the ship and the cruise, photos and descriptions of ports of call, itineraries and sailing dates, room rates, detailed deck plans and cabin plans, and general information.
The brochure is in excellent condition.
The 95 ton 217 foot MV Newport was the first of 3 sisterships built for Clipper Cruise Line. The ship had 51 cabins for up to 100 passengers. The ship was laid up in Florida from 1988 to 1992 . In 1992 it was sold and renamed Seaspirit and resumed cruising the US Northeast coast and Virgin Islands. In 1997 it was sold to West Travel (Cruise West), renamed Spirit of Endeavour, and cruised the West Coast to Alaska route. Cruise West went out of business in 2010.
