Vintage full color introductory brochure from 1983 for CN Marine's new MV Bluenose which entered service on the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia Canada to Bar Harbor, Maine USA route in 1983 replacing the old MV Bluenose which had sailed on the route from 1956 to late 1982.

The brochure includes a description of the new ship, a large artist's illustration of the ship, basic deck plans for 3 decks, small photos and artist drawings of public rooms (theatre, casino, duty free shop, dance area, lounge), 1983 sailing schedule, passenger and automobile fares, cabin rates, info on CN Marine tours, and general passenger information.

Ship History: The MV Bluenose was originally built in Yogoslavia in 1973 for the Swedish owned Stena Lines as the car ferry MS Stena Jutlandica and it sailed on the Gothenburg - Frederikshavn route.  The 6,524 ton  410 ft long ship had a capacity of 1,800 passengers (and it hasd 105 cabins) and 350 cars.

The ship was chartered to CN Marine in 1982, renamed Jutlandica, and sailed on the North Sydney - Port Aux Basques Canada route for 5 months. In 1983 Stena sold the ship to CN Marine and it was renamed MV Bluenose (replacing the old MV Bluenose) and it entered service on the Yarmouth Nova Scotia to Bar Harbor Maine route and sailed on the route until 1997 when it was laid up. 

The Bluenose was sold in 1999 to the Spanish Europa Ferrys and renamed Euroferrys Atlantica and sailed on the  Algeciras - Tangier route until 2010 when it was sold for scrap.
