Vintage 1940s Coney Island New York full sized souvenir felt pennant showing the iconic Parachute Jump, the long gone Steeplechase Park amusement park, a diving bathing beauty, and a ferry to the city. The lettering on the words 'Coney Island' has a colorful multicolored dot design.
Crafted from tan felt with a yellow strip on the left end, it measures 26 inches long by 9 inches wide on the left side (660mm x 229mm).
Condition: The pennant is in overall good condition but shows signs of age. There are a few darker spots below the Parachute Jump illustration, the yellow felt strip colors are slightly faded and the tassels show some wear, there are several fine strings along the edges, and there are several tiny pinholes at the ends from where it was pinned to a wall over the years. The lettering and photos have some minor fading, and there are some fine cracks on some of the lettering and photos (see photos).
