17-page brochure for the 1976 10,11, 14. 16-day Caribbean and South America cruises from Port Everglades Florida aboard the Italian flag Costa Lines cruise ship m/s Italia. The brochure is effective April 1976 and was printed in the U.S.A.
The brochure includes photos and descriptions of the ship and shipboard activities, photos and descriptions of ports of call, itineraries and room rates, photos and descriptions of state room types, cruise tips, general information, and deck plans.
Ports of call for the 1976 cruises included San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados, Caracas, Curacao, Aruba, Cartagena, Port Antonio, Panama, Port-Au-Prince, and Cap Haitien.
Condition: The brochure has a small 1/4" triangular tear at the bottom of the second fold which extends to all pages but is otherwise in very good condition (see photos).
Ship History: The 12,263 ton Italia sailed with Costa from 1967 to 1983 when it was sold to Ocean Cruise Line and renamed Ocean Princess. After an accident and a rebuild it was sold to Sunshine Cruise Line in 1993 and renamed Sea Prince. It was then resold again in 1995 after a fire to Louis Cruise lines and sailed as the Princess Oceanica during '95/'96 and as the Sapphire from 1996-2012 when it was scrapped.
