Synopsis: Dennis the Menace: Voted Most Likely is a 1971 collection of Hank Ketcham’s classic Dennis the Menace newspaper cartoons. Rather than one continuous story, the book presents a series of humorous episodes and gags centered on Dennis Mitchell, the energetic and mischievous youngster whose innocent ideas and impulsive actions regularly create chaos for his parents, neighbors, teachers, and especially the perpetually exasperated Mr. Wilson. The title jokingly suggests Dennis is the boy most likely to say or do the wrong thing at exactly the wrong moment.
Throughout the collection, Dennis's boundless curiosity, unconventional logic, and enthusiasm turn ordinary suburban situations into comic disasters. His parents, Henry and Alice, attempt to keep him under control while Mr. Wilson repeatedly becomes the unwilling target of Dennis's antics. Like Ketcham's other Dennis collections, the book captures the everyday humor of family life and childhood mischief through short, self-contained cartoons, making it a nostalgic portrait of the character and the suburban world of the early 1970s.
