Dominion Atlantic Railway vintage Canadian timetable from 1964 for the Fast Evangeline Dayliner Passenger Service in western Nova Scotia from from Halifax NS to Yarmouth NS and intermediate points. The schedule is effective April 26, 1964.
The 3-panel schedule is 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" (165mm x 83mm) and folds out to 6 1/2" x 9 3/4" (165mm x 248mm) . It was printed in Canada.
The brochure has schedules for Halifax to Yarmouth Dayliner service, as well as a smaller schedule for the Windsor - Truro branch. It also has schedules for the other connecting railroad services: Digby - Saint John - Montreal -Toronto (operated by Canadian Pacific), Halifax - Sydney (Canadian National), and Halifax - Truro - Moncton - Montreal (Canadian National).
The brochure also has a table of one-way "Faresaver" passenger rates. The back cover has a listing and description of Canadian Pacific's other services: railways, steamships, airlines, hotels, communications, and express.
The brochure is in excellent condition (see photos).
The 288-mile long Dominion Atlantic Railway operated between 1894 and 1994. Canadian Pacific took over ownership of the railroad in 1911 but the Dominion Atlantic was allowed to operate independently. Ownership of the Halifax - Yarmouth service was transferred from CP to ViaRail in 1978. The Evangeline Dayliner service was phased out in 1990.
