Vintage 30-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the early 1970's for the El Capitan Lodge and Casino in Hawthorne, Nevada.
The front cover has an illustration of the hotel's exterior, its name and logo, and "$50000 Keno - 250 Slots - 24 Hour Restaurant". The strike side cover has an illustration of cards and dice, and the hotel logo and name, and says "Fishing Information". The inside of the cover lists the features of the hotel (heated pool, air conditioning, television, etc), casino (24 hours, craps, keno, live poker, roulette, 300 slot machines, etc), and the Sportsman's Headquarters 24-hour restaurant.
The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook is in very good condition (see photos).
