Full color 6-panel 2-sided brochure from the early 1980's for the iconic El Convento Hotel on Calle Cristo in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The brochure includes many photos and brief descriptions of the hotel's many amenities including its guest rooms and suites, restaurants, cocktail lounges, and the attractions of Old San Juan and Puerto Rico. 

The brochure also includes info on the building's history. The building is across the street from San Juan Cathedral, and it was originally built as a convent in 1646 and Carmelite nuns lived in it until it closed in 1903.  From 1903-1962 it was largely vacant with a wide range of businesses briefly using it. In 1959 the building was purchased by an heir of Woolworth's and renovated, and it opened as a 90-room hotel in 1962.

Condition: The brochure is in very good condition. It has a few marks on the back panel's edge by the travel agent's stamp (see photos).
