Vintage made in the U.S.A. in 1991 Ertl #9718 limited edition diecast metal 1:34 scale Mobiloil Gargoyle 1931 Hawkeye Crate Truck Locking Coin Bank with Key in a special Mobiloil Gargoyle box.
This truck is #1192 of the limited edition and 1192 is stamped on the bottom of the truck and on the box.
The coin bank can be unlocked by turning the key (which is included) in the base of the truck.

The truck has a grey metal cab with black roof, black fenders and bumpers, black metal base, 'Vacuum Oil Company New York' on the doors, chrome grille frame and headlights, black grille, clear windshield, and black interior. It has a brown simulated 'wood' truck bed, cream colored crates (that house the coin bank) with the red and black Mobiloil Gargoyle logo, removable key in the base (to unlock the coin bank), real rubber tires, and black spoked wheel hubs.
The Mobil Oil truck is 1:34 scale, 7" inches long x 3" high x 2" wide (178mm x 76mm x 51mm) . Made in the U.S.A. in 1991 in Dyersville, Iowa.
The truck is new and in mint condition in a special Mobil Oil box with the old Mobil Gargoyle logo.
trivia: Mobil Oil was originally founded as the Vacuum Oil Company in 1866. In its early years it used the Mobiloil Gargoyle symbol which is seen on this truck. The company changed its symbol to the current Pegasus horse in the early 1930's when it merged with Socony.
