Product Description

Small black and white flyer from 1988 advertising the record release party for New York punk / garage rock band Freaks record "Potter's Field" on May 28, 1988 at an underground space at 301 W 37th St in Manhattan, New York.

The opening band was the then virtually unknown Lunachicks, and the host was WFMU-FM DJ Laurie Es.

The small sized flyer measures 5 7/8" x 4 1/4" (149mm x 108mm).  The flyer is very creased and it has some yellowing from age (see photos).

Freaks members included the late Howie Pyro (D Generation, The Blessed, Danzig, and DJ extraordinaire), and his then wife Andrea Kusten (The Outta Place, Fuzztones).  The music was a collage of Punk Garage, Psychedelia, and Glitter, and Trash. The band released 2 albums and 3 singles during its short 3 year career.
