Activities aboard program of events guide for a July 22, 1961 3-day cruise from New York to Bermuda aboard the Furness Bermuda Line British registered ship ss Queen of Bermuda. The guide is cardboard.
The front and back covers of the guide have drawings of the Queen of Bermuda sailing off the shore of Bermuda. The first inside page lists the program of events for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday which included activities like tea time, restaurant sittings for meals, bingo, dancing, late night snacks on the Promenade Deck, movies, music for cocktails in the Smoke Room, and more. The opposite page has a place for autographs, and a drawing of the Furness ship ss Ocean Monarch with a list of special summer 1961 cruises from New York by the ship.
The booklet is in excellent condition.
The 553 foot long 22,575 ton ss Queen of Bermuda was built in 1933 and sailed with Furness from 1933 to 1966 when Furness ended its Bermuda service, with a 4-year stint as a troopship from 1939-43 during World War II. In October 1961 the ship was refitted and it was lengthened and its three funnels were replaced by one modern funnel.
