Vintage 30-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1980's advertising Gallagher's Steakhouse on 52nd St just west of Broadway in midtown Manhattan, New York City.

Gallagher's opened in 1927 as a combination Prohibition era speakeasy and steakhouse, and over the year's has attracted celebrities and athletes like Babe Ruth, Jackie Onassis, Frank Sinatra, James Cagney, Mickey Mantle, and others..

The front cover of the matchbook says "Join the regulars at Gallagher's".  The strike side of the cover has the restaurant address and phone number, and says "New York's Official Steak House". The inside says "Have your next party at our Trophy Room".

The matchbook was made by Lion Match Corp of America, New York.

The matchbook cover is in good condition with a dark mark along one edge on the strike side (see photos). It is empty and there are no matches, and the strike pad appears to be unused.
