Vintage 10-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1950's advertising the Gibson Hotel and its cocktail lounge in Apalachicola, Florida. 

The Gibson was originally built as the Franklin Hotel in 1907 and still operates today as the Gibson Inn. The Victorian style hotel building in the Florida Panhandle is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The front cover of the matchbook has the hotel name and city, and says "Free Parking".  The strike side says "Cocktail Lounge, Package Goods".

The inside of the matchbook is blank.

The matchbook is a ten-strike matchbook made in the USA by Match Corp. of America, Chicago.

The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook cover is in overall very good condition (see photos).
