14 page full color brochure for the 1973 Caribbean cruises departing from New York aboard Hapag-Lloyd's West German flagged cruise ship m/s Europa. The brochure measures 12" x 9" (305mm x 229mm) and was printed in the USA in June 1972.
The brochure has descriptions and many color photos of the cruise, ship board life (daytime, nighttime, dining), and ports of call. It also has sailing schedules and itineraries and room rates for the Caribbean cruises, sailing schedules and itineraries for the Europa's Spring/Summer 1973 European cruises, and general passenger information.
Condition: The brochure has some damage along the top edge of the back cover and some of the inner pages (the back cover has a 2" x 1/2" tear at the top edge, and a few of the inner pages have smaller 1" x 1/4" tears on the top edge ,see photos).
Ship History: The MS Europa was originally built for the Swedish American Line in 1953 and sailed as the Kungsholm from '53-'65 when it was sold to North German Lloyd (later Hapag Lloyd) and renamed Europa. The ship was sold in 1981 and operated as the Columbus C for Costa Lines until 1984 when it was badly damaged after hitting a breakwater in Cadiz Spain. The ship was scrapped in 1985.
