The front cover illustration is a mermaid surrounded by candles holding a flaming dish (presumably meant to represent the dinner's flaming dessert finale).
The soup was Clear Oxtail Consomme Au Madere, and the meal's entree offerings included Poached Medallion of Salmon with Lobster Newburg Sauce, Dutch Steak Saute Marchand De Vin, Roast Maryland Turkey with Cranberry Sauce. Dessert was Farewell Cake, and baked Alaska with Flaming Cherries.
The menu also lists the ship's Commander (Captain D.E. Greidanus), Chief Steward (G.A. Adriaansens), and Chef de Cuisine (M.C. Schraven).
Condition: The menu is in overall very good condition. The front cover has a small pinhead sized brown spot near the bottom edge, and there is a number written lightly in pencil on the top right corner. The inside of the menu is in excellent condition (see photo).
The menu is made of cardboard and measures 11 1/2" x 8 1/4" (292mm x 210mm).
