12 page brochure for the 1979 cruises aboard the Home Lines ships ss Oceanic and ss Doric. The Oceanic sailed from New York, with cruises to the West Indies and South America in the winter, and 7-day cruises to Bermuda and the Bahamas the rest of the year. The Doric sailed from New York during the Spring to Autumn to Bermuda, and during the winter it sailed from Port Everglades Florida to the Caribbean.
The brochure includes a photo of each ship, sailing schedules and itineraries, room rates for the cruises, and general information.
Home Lines operated the Oceanic from 1965-1986 and it was later owned by Premier Cruises (1985-2000, sailing as the Starship Oceanic and Big Red Boat I), Pullmantur Cruises (2000-2009), and Peace Boat (2009-2012).
The Doric was built in 1964 as the ss Shalom for Zim Lines. It was sold to German Atlantic Line in 1967 and renamed the Hanseatic. Home Lines bought it in 1973 and renamed it the Doric. Royal Cruise Lines bought it in 1981 and operated it as the Royal Odyssey. Regency Cruises owned it from 1988-1998 and renamed it Regent Sun.
