Product description

Horses, written by Blanche Chenery Perrin, and illustrated by Hamilton Greene.  A Little Golden Book, published by Golden Press, New York and produced by Western Publishing Co, Racine WI. Copyright 1962. Printed in the USA in 1976, Ninth Printing. Hardcover book, 24 pages.

Synopsis:  The book is an introduction to the world of horses for very young children that is designed to teach children about horses in an engaging and easy-to-understand way. The book, charmingly illustrated by Hamilton Greene, presents facts and descriptions about different kinds and breeds of horses, and explains the various ways humans use them — for work, riding, and companionship.

It talks about different types of horses (e.g., workhorses, ponies, racehorses), what horses do (e.g., pulling wagons, carrying riders, running in races), baby horses (foals) and how they grow, and basic horse characteristics and behaviors.

Condition: The book is in very good condition. There is a name written in the "this book belongs to" space on the inside of the cover.  The inside pages are in excellent condition with no writing marks or creases.  The spine and binding are also in excellent condition. (see photos).
