Vintage 30-strike matchbook cover (no matches) from the 1970's advertising the 103 room Hotel Bel-Air in the Bel-Air Estates neighborhood of Los Angeles California.
The luxury hotel opened in 1946 and is closely associated with Hollywood because its guests over the years have included Grace Kelly, Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor, Jimmy Stewart, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, and other superstars.
The matchbook front cover has hotel logo. The strike side has the hotel name. The inside of the matchbook is blank.
The matchbook cover is empty and there are no matches, the strike pad appears to be unused. The matchbook is in good condition with a couple of patches of light wear on the right side (see photos).
